Nadine Fecht (b. 1976, Mannheim) is a German visual artist known for her radical approach to drawing, often extended to installations, sound, and performance. Her practice investigates social and inner tensions such as control, resistance, uncertainty, and dissent, using repetitive marks, ritual gestures, and raw materials. Trained between Berlin and San Francisco under Lothar Baumgarten and Stan Douglas, she currently teaches drawing at HfG Offenbach. Her works, which transform paper into a field of political and psychological action, are held in collections such as the Kupferstichkabinett and Kunstmuseum Basel. Fecht won the Will-Grohmann-Preis (2014) and has exhibited in international institutions including Hamburger Kunsthalle, Kunsthalle Bratislava, and ZKM Karlsruhe. At the core of her work is a reflection on coexistence and the fragility of collective life, made visible through forms emerging from effort, repetition, and instability.
